LESSONS
We provide lessons for people of all ages and skill levels. Leadership, Confidence, Safety, and just plain Common Sense are a part of every lesson. Lessons are given based on riders individual experiences and goals. First time participants will be subject to evaluation to detrmine skill level.
Proper riding attire is required. All lessons are private so that each student can be worked with one-on-one..
Lessons and Evaluations are given by Barrington Stables' owner, manager, and experienced instructor, Riana Barrington. Her teqniques are based on the teachings of her father, Gawani Pony Boy; a sought after horse behaviorist and author of "Horse, Follow Closely".
Riana enjoys helping horse owners and students improve their confidence and horsemanship skills and is knowledgable in a wide range of disciplines and techniques. Most lessons and riders at Barrington Stables are Western based but cross training is recommended and beneficial for both horse and rider. Knowledge is the key to a successful equestrian and invaluable when it comes to the care and handling of our four -legged friends.
HORSE AND RIDER EVALUATIONS
Horse and rider evaluations are also available on and offsite. These evaluations will help determine the status of the horse/rider relationship and how to improve it. Horse behavior can be hard to understand and in turn hard to address with the right training techniques. Riana evaluates horse/rider relationship and teaches horse owners how to inerpret their horses' behaviors, causes, and improve their horsemanship .
Good relationships improve trust, respect, and make the training and handling of horses easier and more enjoyable.
